The Alaska Climate Justice Program works with Alaska Native communities to support Tribal sovereignty and human rights protections as the climate crisis causes the places where members of these communities live and love, and where they and their ancestors have lived for thousands of years, to become increasingly devastated by flooding, erosion, and permafrost thaw.
